How to Create a Prospect Management System

A prospect management system is something that every shop would love to have, however they are not often seen in smaller shops. It can be hard to know where to begin in creating a prospect management system. Even when you know where to begin, there are often other tasks that take priority, and various obstacles to progress, such as lack of time, buy-in, or staffing. Ruthie, a 20+ year veteran in this field, has created a number of prospect management systems from the ground up as a solo and small shop researcher; with and without buy-in from the top. Let Ruthie walk you through how to begin your own journey into creating a prospect management system. She will talk about how to being the process and stay on track as you create a tailor made system for your organization. Ruthie will also share her experiences of the various pitfalls and successes that you may (will) encounter along the way. Ruthie Giles is a renowned thought leader in the field of prospect management.  Highly sought after for her expertise in prospect management, she has spoken at NEDRA, CASE and APRA conferences, as well as various AFP and APRA chapters. Ruthie is the Associate Director of Advancement Services at Westfield State University. She is also an Associate for Prospect Development with Staupell Analytics Group. Previously she has worked at Amherst College, Mount Holyoke College, Harold Grinspoon Foundation, The Loomis Chaffee School, and the Williston Northampton School.
