2017 APRA-FL State Conference Scholarship Winner
Sauntel Richardson, Research Liaison at the Florida Hospital Foundation, Orlando, FL
I get to ____. This phrase has become my life's motto where I get to fill in the blank with each new day, and new season of life. The most applicable word as it relates to the 2017 APRA FL Conference is that I get to SERVE. Throughout my career, I've gotten to work on special events, grants, donor databases, stewardship, employee giving campaigns and recently, prospect research. But most importantly, I've gotten to SERVE individuals with developmental disabilities, families with the sickest of children, and help to inspire generosity that heals.
We have made some minor changes to our membership cycle and fees. In order to sync our membership cycle to coincide with our APRA-FL conferences, we are moving the start and end of our membership year from January to May. To get us all on the same cycle APRA-FL will;
1. Extend all memberships purchased between January 2016 and January 2017 to May 1, 2017.
2. Extend all memberships purchased after January, 2017 to May 1, 2018.
Due to the fantastic work of the board and the conference committee to keep cost reasonable while still putting on a great conference, APRA-FL will be able stay under the allowed 25% membership rate increase. Starting May 1, 2017, the membership fee for APRA-FL will be $30 per year. The new rate will begin May 1, 2017. Memberships can be renewed on the APRA-Florida webpage. We appreciate your new and continued memberships and will continue to work hard to advance our profession in the wonderfully sunny state we all love so much.
